How to Safely Restart the Explorer without Restarting your PC?
  1. Open the Start menu.
  2. Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys, and right-click on a blank space in the Start menu
  3. Choose “Exit Explorer.”
  4. Now to restart the Explorer,Open the Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc)
  5. Navigate to File->Run, enter “explorer” and hit OK
  6. You have safely restarted the explorer
